The Lent Bumps 2012 will take place Tuesday 28th February - Saturday 3rd March. The Getting-On Race will be on Friday 24th February.
The division times have been modified for the 2012 Lent Bumps. The women's divisions will race every day, Tuesday to Friday (and will not race on Saturday). Men's divisions will race Tuesday to Saturday with one day off as normal.
Entries have now closed and the provisional start order is available.
Captains are reminded that they should submit information for the Bumps Programmes
The entry fee is £36 per crew. Entry fees and outstanding CUCBC bills for the Lent Term should be paid by the above deadline. Cheques should be payable to Cambridge University Combined Boat Clubs and sent to Tom Grimble, CUCBC Junior Treasurer at Robinson College.
With not long to go before the Lent Bumps (28th February-3th March), we're looking to find umpires for this year's races.
Umpiring is a really fun way to get involved in the Bumps - you get to see and be involved in the action from up close on the towpath, either cycling along with the crews or acting as a static umpire at key points on the course. In addition to this, you will get a free dinner, probably the week after Bumps and umpiring will reduce the number of marshals that your club needs to provide.
To help out, you don't need to have umpired before although we do ask that you have rowed or coxed in at least 2 sets of Bumps in the past. There will be a meeting for all umpires where we will explain everything and those that have not umpired before will be paired with a 'senior' during the races.
You can both compete and umpire (although obviously don't sign up to umpire a division you're competing in!) If you have any questions, please contact dan [at] cucbc.org.
The schedule of the Lent Bumps 2012 has been altered, as agreed at the Michaelmas 2011 Captains' Meeting, to accommodate those crews wishing to race in the Women's Head of the River Race on Saturday 3rd March. All women's divisions will race every day Tuesday to Friday and will not race on Saturday. Men's divisions will race Tuesday to Saturday with one day off as normal.
The University Fours 2011 took place Monday 24th - Friday 28th October 2011.
