The University Fours is a knock-out regatta taking place in the middle of the Michaelmas Term. There are divisions for men's and women's coxed fours and men's coxless fours.
The men's races are run in the format of CUCBC Time Races, where in each round the two racing crews start at the same time, 120m apart just downstream of the Motorway Bridge and are timed, chasing one another, to their respective finishes also separated by 120m. The men's coxed fours race to just downstream of the Railway Bridge and the coxless fours to Men's Top Finish.
The women's competitions are raced side-by-side from Ditton Corner to Men's Top Finish.
