Cambridge University Combined Boat Clubs is the umbrella organisation for student rowing at the University of Cambridge, consisting of the University and College Boat Clubs.

As well as organising the Lent and May Bumps, CUCBC also regulates student clubs' use of the River Cam.

 

Lent Bumps 2020

The Lent Bumps 2020 took place from Tuesday 25 to Saturday 29 February. The Getting-On Race to qualify for the lower divisions took place on Friday 21 February.

CUCBC Captains' Meeting - Lent 2020

The CUCBC Captains' Meeting for Lent 2020 was held at 17:00 on Sunday 19th Jan. Minutes have been emailed to Captains and will be uploaded soon.

University Fours 2019

The University IVs ran from Monday 4th to Friday 8th November. Thank you to all of the clubs who entered and their marshals for ensuring the racing went ahead prompty and safely. The winners were:

  • Women's Coxed Four (First Division): Jesus W1
  • Men's Coxed Four (First Division): Lady Margaret M1
  • Women's Coxed Four (Second Division): Lady Margaret W2
  • Men's Coxed Four (Second Division): Lady Margaret M2

May Bumps 2019

The May Bumps 2019 took place from Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th June. The Getting-On Race took place on Friday 7th June.

Thanks to all for a good week's racing and congratulations to Caius and Newnham for winning the Men's and Women's Headships, respectively. See you next year!

Michell and Pegasus Cups 2019

The 2019 Michell Cup, awarded by CUCBC for the best overall performance during the year, was won by Caius.

The 2019 Pegasus Cup, awarded by Milton Brewery for the best overall performance in the May Bumps, was won by Clare Hall.

Our congratulations to both clubs!

Small Boats Regatta 2019

The final results for SBR 2019 are now available here. Thank you to everyone who competed or marshalled for helping to make the event such a success. Medals will be presented at 18:00 on Monday 6th May in the King's College Bar.

This year we had 50 entries from 20 different colleges, a signifcant increase on recent years. Any feedback on the new rule changes, or the event more generally, will be gratefully received - let us know if there is anything we could do better next year!
